Are you already registered to vote? Check the Minnesota Secretary of State website to confirm. If you need to register:
All residents of the Clearbrook-Gonvick School District can register at the polling place and vote during Early Voting. Same day registration checklist.
Absentee Voting by Mail
Any registered voter can request an absentee ballot. You have three ways to apply:
1. Online: Fill out the application at mnvotes.gov/absentee, then submit it electronically
2. Print and mail: Download the application online, print it, fill it out, and mail it to the District office
3. In person: Deliver your completed application directly to the District office

Once you receive the ballot, complete it with a witness (a U.S. citizen, aged 18+, or a notary), who must sign and include their address.
Follow all instructions carefully; missing info can lead to rejection.
Returning the Absentee Ballot you Received by Mail
By mail: Must be received by Election Day (not just postmarked) .
In person: Return to District Office by 7:00 p.m. on November 3.
You can also designate an agent (max. 3 voters) to return your ballot under specific circumstances .

School District Question 1
Approval of School District Bond Issue
Shall the school board of Independent School District No. 2311 (Clearbrook-Gonvick Public School) be authorized to issue its general obligation school building bonds in an amount not to exceed $34,930,000 to provide funds for the acquisition and betterment of school sites and facilities, including the construction of a secure entrance; the construction and equipping of classroom, special education and agriculture, industrial and trade technology (CTE) additions to the school site and facility; the construction of an elementary physical education space-gymnasium; the installation of a new roof and exterior doors; renovations and remodeling of the media center, commons areas and restrooms; upgrades to flooring and finishes; the acquisition and installation of furniture, fixtures and equipment; and upgrades and improvements to early childhood special education spaces and the early childhood playground?

The owner of a home valued at $175,000 would pay $15/month in property taxes ($220/annually) if the referendum is approved.
The state of Minnesota will pay for almost $3.7 million of the bond amount because of property tax credits for agricultural property through the Ag2School program.
Clearbrook-Gonvick total school taxes are low compared to its neighbors.
Large corporations will pay a significant portion of the referendum. Residential property owners in the district will pay approximately 15% ($5.2 million) of the cost of the referendum.
